Command Poster Strips {Review}

When I got my box of Command brand goodies and I saw the poster strips for the first time I was completely geeked out. Yes, I am publicly admitting that I got ridiculously excited over poster strips. I even called my mom and told her about them. I have to admit, I didn't even know Command Poster Strips existed until they showed up in my box of Command brand goodies. However, I already knew how amazing the Command strips are when used with their hooks, and immediately suspected the poster strips would be all kinds of awesome.

In my daughters room I had a pile of decorative cards which had fallen off the wall when blue stick tack failed to hold them up. As anyone who has ever used stick tack to hang a poster knows, it's a pain to remove, and makes unsightly bulges in the posters. My daughter managed to stand on her bed, stretch up on her tippy toes and remove some from the wall and then proceeded to do the dumbest things with it, such as use it as putty and fill all the cracks and crevices on her captain's bed. Stick tack has become the bane of my existence. I've been finding squirlled away bits of blue goo for weeks.

So I was really excited about the Command Poster Strips. I used them to rehang the poster cards in G's room, and they were every bit as awesome as I expected. They are SO easy to use. Perforated, peal and stick. No scissors required. Make sure the wall is clean, stick strip to poster and then stick to wall. Bang. Done.

I had a problem getting one of the cards to line up nicely. I was able to take it off the wall, reposition it and stick it back on. Then I realized it was still in the wrong spot. So I took it down, removed the poster strips, and put new ones on. Here's the amazing part... The poster strips CAME RIGHT OFF, so very easily, and I was a bit shocked when they didn't rip the paper. Now granted, maybe this was just because they hadn't been stuck on all that long, and I'll be curious to see how they fare a few months down the road. But still, I was seriously impressed.

I know I would have loved these when I was in highschool. So very perfect for decorating bedrooms and lockers. Or heck dorm rooms. (Though goodness knows, it's hard for me who is just putting her girl into senior kindergarten, to wrap my mind around dorm room planning. It will come all too soon, I know.)
