Vacuum Insulated Hydration Bottle from Thermos {Review}

I had a chance to review one of Thermos's new vacuum insulated hydration bottles. Usually when I think of Thermos brand products I usually think of lunch flasks or coffee tumblers designed to keep things hot. But this Thermos hydration bottle is made to keep your drink cool, for up to 12 hours!

Originally I was thinking I would send this to work with my husband. He works in a warehouse where it gets ridiculously hot during the summer months, and staying hydrated becomes especially important. I thought a water bottle like this one, which keeps your water cool all day long would be perfect for him. But then I saw the lovely floral design. It's cute, I like it. But my husband is not going to be happy toting around something lavender and covered in flowers.

So instead I took it on a test run, out for a picnic at the park with my girls on a disgusting hot day. Just as expected, my water stayed delightfully cool. I loved the soft silicon straw. I actually found it really comfortable to sip from. I'm also really picky about water bottles. I've tried several that didn't meet my standards because I found they gave the water an odd taste. This however was perfect, my water tasted just like when I drink it from a glass at home. Cool and refreshing.

Overall I found the Thermos Hydration Bottle to be a fantastic way to keep drinking water when you're out and about! It's a well made, high quality water bottle which I suspect will last me for years to come. (And I discovered they also have a charcoal grey version available, which would be more to hubby's tastes.)

Heads up ~ Thermos will be running a cool "Thermos a Day Giveaway" back to school contest, starting in the first week of September. Keep an eye on the Thermos Facebook page for further details.
