Hi! Come on in. Pleased to "meet" you! Grab some coffee. I am so excited that The Great Canadian Blog Bash is finally here!


If you don't already know -- The Great Canadian Blog Bash is a giant all Canadian blog hop where Canadian Bloggers and Canadian companies come together to help celebrate Canada Day! To me, this Blog Bash is all about celebrating some great Canadian businesses, meeting new Canadian followers and finding fantastic Canadian blogs to read. So first let me introduce myself and tell you a little bit about my blog... and then on to the giveaways!

 A bit about me:

I'm Deanna, a Canadian stay-at-home mom to two rambunctious little girls. My daughters are in their preschool years, and are 2 and 4 years old. Along with my gamer geek husband we live in my hometown of Windsor, Ontario. I used to claim that I blogged when my girls were napping, but in the past few months the little one has started taking these 20 minute power naps, and the big one has given up on napping all-together. So now I blog in the wee hours while my family is asleep. Needless to say, sleep is something I don't get nearly enough of and my life is fuelled by coffee.



Confession: I like comic books, cartoons, and vintage toys. I'm basically a big kid at heart.
Other things I love include: books, my kids, vintage stuff, hiking, fishing, and playing board games.
The one food I could eat from now until Armageddon and never get sick of is: Sushi
Some of my favourite authors include: Charles deLint, Robert Heinlein, Terry Pratchett, Robert Silverberg
Some of my favourite bands include: Billy Joel, Concrete Blonde, N.I.N., Spirit of the West, Wolfsheim
Something quirky about me you might not know: I love to wear skirts and almost never wear pants. 


A bit about my blog:
For me, my blog is like a coffee conversation I would have while sitting with a good friend. I chat about products I enjoy and amusing things my kids have done lately, as well as rant about the things that are driving me crazy, and share the occasional recipe or two. Along with product reviews and giveaways, I write about my personal experiences as a mother, my adventures in getting my driver's license,and the general chaos that is my life. Also, it's a point of pride that my blog giveaways are always open to Canada.


On the last Friday of each month I co-host the Virtual Play Date link-up. Join us once a month and link up a fun post about what you and your kids have been up to, so we can all "virtually" play together!  



Every Thursday I co-host the Great Canadian Giveaway Link-Up.  Stop in once a week to link up your giveaways, or hunt through the list for some awesome "Open to Canada" contests to enter.
