Yes, it's an April Fools joke. No, I'm no going anywhere. Thank you all for the kind words and well wishes. I have not received an offer to start a new job, I'm still just the same old stay at home me (However, if anyone does have a "ridiculously lucrative" job offer for me, please feel free to contact me at mapleleafmommy@gmail.com ;-).

If I were actually stepping down, I would have had one hell of a time choosing between the applicants. Some folks took this very seriously and sent me detailed and creative explanations as to why I should choose them. I actually feel a little guilty. When I said please write a 200 word essay, I figured at that point everyone would realize I was joking.

Apparently there are quite a few people out there who would love to have a blog of their own. For those people I say ~ here's how to do it.

I also received quite a few messages from people asking, Just what does a blogger do all day? How time intensive is it to run a blog? And to those people I say ~ Here's what I do, and yes it takes a lot of time. Nugglemama's post in which she explains why she won't blog for hot dogs is a good insight into how much work goes into blogging. As is Kidsumers post on the life of a blogger.

As a sort of consolation prize to those who were kind enough to play along with my little prank, I drew a random winner, Nancy Polanco, who will be receiving a surprise gift pack from me.

Again, thanks for all the kind word. Some of you wrote some very sweet things which really brought a smile to my day. I'm not planning on going anywhere. It's my intention to continue this blog for a good long while to come. And thank you for joining me on the ride.
